When I started working on the concept of Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls, I never thought it would just be a book, or a series of books. I am a writer and a journalist interested in the larger connection between storytelling and media, content and technology, and how that connection reflects and shapes our society.

From its inception, Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls held the promise of something bigger, something that today I call a cultural media engine. Over the past four years, I have worked tirelessly with my phenomenal team to research, develop, and launch the first three pillars of this engine: a book series, a new publishing imprint, and a podcast. Today, I’m proud to unveil our fourth and most daring pillar: Rebel Girls Boundless, our new digital magazine.

Rebel Girls Boundless will feature articles and video content that will showcase extraordinary women across five different categories: the Pioneer, the Warrior, the Creator, the Leader, and the Champion. From activists and athletes, to entrepreneurs, artists and scientists, Rebel Girls Boundless will remind us, every day, that together we are limitless.

Our book series Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls sparked a global movement of passionate readers on a mission to balance power and create a more inclusive world. Women of all ages, not just young girls, are reading these stories. I felt it was my responsibility to offer this movement a home—a safe place where rebel girls can read about the issues they care about and express their opinions freely and safely.

Boundless will be first and foremost a space where women are celebrated—for their achievements, struggles, and even for their failures. We won’t give prescriptive advice, because women don’t need to be told they’re not good enough any longer. Instead, we’ll present the female perspective at the center of the most important contemporary issues, including politics, science, business, sports, and technology. As a journalist, I know how difficult it is for women to express their opinions in mainstream media. With Boundless, we’ll put their voices front and center with long-form journalism written by an incredible roster of female writers.

None of this would have been possible without the brave and passionate work of the Rebel Girls team at large. We are now a company of 25 people with offices in Los Angeles, New York, and London, and every single team member contributed to the launch of this new venture. Our first book series has been translated into 50 languages and sold over 4 million copies, but our mission is far from over.

We are the stories that we are told, and we become the stories that we imagine.

So welcome to Rebel Girls Boundless, where we’re changing the world through storytelling.
